Agents Executed a State of New Mexico Arrest Warrant

Lea County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on March 24.

On March 14, 2022, Agents with the Lea County Drug Task Force, Lea County Sheriff’s Office, Hobbs Police Department and the United States Marshal Service executed a State of New Mexico arrest warrant.  Ismael Salas, 39 years old from Hobbs, NM, was wanted for kidnapping and CSP.  
On March 14, 2022, Agents, Officers, Deputies and USMS located Ismael Salas hiding between mattresses inside a residence.  Ismael Salas was found in possession of a gun when he was found between the mattresses.  
Ismael Salas was transported to the Lea County Detention Center where he was booked into custody without further incident.
