On Friday, the Ranchvale Fire Department received delivery of a new 2022 HME dual purpose fire truck! It’s a Class A Pumper/ Wildland pump and roll fire truck that holds 1,200 gallons of water, pumps 1,500 GPM (gallons per minute), and also has a separate foam tank. It has an auxiliary pump which makes it a pump and roll fire truck to combat grass fires.
This is the first brand new fire apparatus purchase for this department and the purchase was made through a state grant of $300,000. The remaining funds came from Ranchvale’s Fire Fund monies and Curry Fire Admin Fire Fund monies equaling $96,266. Total purchase of the fire truck was $396,266.
